I've been in video production for about 10 years, and like all of us, I had to change my strategies to accommodate the current pandemic, so I'm offering a safe and cost-effective option for advertising your business as I teach you how to shoot your own professional videos using your phone or a camera, all remotely.
Video creates a personal bond with prospective clients. You can tell them your story, your "why" and build a relatable connection with them. But if you're camera shy there's the option of a voiceover video with footage of your products and services. I know making a video can be expensive if you hire out, so that's why I'm working with small businesses to help make the process really affordable. All of us have been hit hard by the pandemic so I know what it's like to need a break - let me help you.
•Save Money During COVID
With the fear of COVID-19 and all of the looming restrictions on keeping our businesses open, many of us are struggling, and advertising our business has become very difficult. We often can't pay the high cost of advertising or making professional videos to tell the public about our products and services, or even that we're open for business. Still, we need to advertise to stay afloat.
•How and Why This Helps You
To the right is an infographic on how you can create your own professional video, and below is an example of a successful video shot by a business owner with no prior video experience, along with her review. I coached Diane of Americat Company through the process of shooting her video, and I also edited her video for thousands of dollars less than paying a large production company to do it, all while exercising social distancing and COVID protocols.
•Video is Necessary
We all know that video is king in the ad world and on social media, and the power is in your hands. Our phones have incredible video capabilities, and many of us own cameras that make high-quality HD video that we don't even know about. Don't get caught further behind during the pandemic. Start making a difference in your business by creating professional videos that will keep you in the game.
I had a great experience working with Chic to create a video about Americat Company. We shot the video remotely due to COVID, rather than in person. Through video conferences, Chic taught me which camera settings to use, how to choose the location, how to frame the shot, and techniques for taking videos of our cat products. We did a practice run, so Chic could give me feedback on what I said and how I shot the video. That helped me feel ready to shoot the final videos. I gave Chic all the footage, and he edited the different videos together and added text and music. I am really happy with how the Americat Company video turned out! Chic taught me a lot in a short period of time, so I could shoot my first video, and now I know how to shoot more for the future.
